Why we send teams
To date we have sent 35 teams, including 645 team members, to serve 5,061 families. Our teams show love and compassion to local Guatemalan brothers and sisters by offering our time, labor, and friendship as we live for a week in the communities where we serve, participating in meals and worship services with new friends. We demonstrate the provision of God as we enter homes and leave a lasting and useful tool for families to remember how God loves and cares for them. We go to obey God’s call to serve, but not a team member comes back unchanged. The love and kindness of the people we encounter, their passion for God and family, and their contentedness in their circumstances, always transforms and edifies each person who participates.
